In the heart of Edgemont Village, The Edge Bistro is a great place for any lunch or dinner. With a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, The Edge presents a wonderful dining experience. Decorated with paintings and low (but not too low) lighting an easy laid-back mood is set right away. And with such reasonable prices between $15 and $30, that mood will continue even till the end of the meal! Serving excellent Italian food prepared by Chef Mezzi Merbah, food is both well presented and delicious. And it should, be considering Chef Merbah has worked extensively in both France and Italy to be able to parallel his experience with his passion of creating fine cuisine.
Some of his creations include Risotto de Mare: prawns, scallops, mussels, tomato concasse with a herbal broth and Salmoni al Arancione: pecan encrusted wild salmon with Dijon mustard and orange ginger tarragon sauce. Both meals are publicized as “Ocean Wiseâ€: recommended by the Vancouver Aquarium as ocean friendly. Staff at The Edge were warm and welcoming, offering attentive service without becoming overbearing.
They know a great deal of the history of The Edge and are eager to engage in conversation. A clear testament to the success of this establishment as a whole is in their list of awards: Reader Choice Awards – Best New Restaurant on the North Shore and Best Restaurant Wine List on the North Shore, The Best of North Shore placed The Edge at 1st for Best Restaurant Wine List as well. So with a great selection of wine, you will definitely be able to find something you like. If you can’t, staff are able to help in your choosing, being quite knowledgeable on the different wines available and are even able to bring samples to help you make a more informed decision.
Live entertainment is generally offered on Friday nights so come on down then for great food and a wonderful show. Definitely a place worth visiting again and again, The Edge Bistro is a place to relax and enjoy a fine meal.

I love this place for lunch. It’s so quiet on a Monday so it’s the best time to go.
My fav is the crab/shrimp pasta but I get it with Linguini instead of the Fetticini (is that how you spell that?) lol. Mmmmm, I’m getting hungry just writing this. I think next time I’ll ask them to add mushrooms to it too.
I go about once a month with my mother. It’s become “our place” in the Village.
